Madalena Calado, born in Lisbon in 1968, is passionate about art and nature. Since her youth, she was attracted to the beauty of art in all its forms, whether human - such as sculpture, painting, architecture - or natural - like fauna, flora, rivers, seas, sunrise and sunset.

This attraction led her to follow an academic path in History and Art History at the New University of Lisbon. Currently, Madalena works in the field of Education, specifically as a Senior Technician in the central services of public administration.

Her passion for art evolved over time, culminating in the choice of photography as her main means of expression. Through the lens, Madalena captures, eternalizes, and shares the perspective she has of the world.

Her love for travels provides her the perfect combination for capturing images of different cultures and customs, stunning landscapes, remarkable events, exotic animals, and plants. These are magical and unique moments in time, eternalized in each image captured at different latitudes, which are later shared and celebrated under the name “MCalado”.
